The Board of Medina County Commissioners cordially invite you to join them for this glittering event benefiting charitable organizations serving our community.
"The primary mission of the Charity Ball is to enable our community's agencies to better serve those in our county who are in need, face obstacles that impede their full participation in society, or assist in their educational development."
A Later Date for this Year’s Ball!
Saturday, February 29, 2020 | Social at 6pm | Dinner & Dancing at 7pm
Now in its 21st year, the Medina County Commissioners' Charity Ball has raised more than $430,000 to help local charitable organizations advance their mission and strengthen our community. Funds from the 2020 event will be divided equally among charities targeted by Commissioners Pat Geissman, William Hutson and Colleen Swedyk as being deserving and in need of support.
The Charity Ball's continuing success is largely due to the generous support of corporate and individual sponsors and tax-deductible donations. The Commissioners and the Charity Ball committee are reaching out to the community to donate or become sponsors and make this year's event a singular success. Donations of any amount are welcome.

How It All Began

In 1999, Pat took the Commissioner’s Charity Ball concept to her fellow Commissioners…
Commissioner Pat Geissman
I'm excited this year for our new theme and venue — I hope you will join us and have a wonderful time! For 2020, I will be lending my support to the MEDINA COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY and THE LODI RAILROAD MUSEUM, both of which work hard to preserve our rich history and educate us all. I am also sponsoring LOVE INC OF MEDINA in their outreach to assist county residents in need of physical, emotional, spiritual and financial support.

This year, I am joining Commissioner Geissman in her support of the MEDINA COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY. They are involved in a great endeavor to purchase and preserve one of the county's most significant historic homes. I will also be sponsoring the MEDINA COUNTY ADULT AND SENIOR FOUNDATION to aid them in their efforts on behalf of the Office for Older Adults to help ensure continuity of service.

For 2020, I am pleased to sponsor the MEDINA COUNTY POLICE ACTIVITIES LEAGUE, a youth crime prevention program that utilizes educational, athletic and recreational activities to create trust and understanding between police officers and Medina County youth. Additionally, I am supporting COMMUNITY ACTION WAYNE/MEDINA HEAD START in their two-generational approach to help ensure that preschoolers – and their caregivers – are school ready.
